Kathepsinaktivitt in Placenten verschiedener Altersstufen

1954

On the inverse-voltammetric determination of zinc in acidic solution

1977

Validation of a Shear Model for RC and Hybrid Beams with Two Different Inclinations of Transversal Reinforcement

2016

The validation of an analytical model recently proposed for evaluation of the shear capacity in Reinforced Concrete (RC) beams containing multiple inclination of transverse stirrups is presented. The model is a suitable extension of that currently proposed in Eurocode 2 for the evaluation of the shear resistance, and it is derived by means of the the variable-inclination stress-field theory based on Nielsen’s plastic approach. Experimental and numerical data available in the literature on Hybrid Steel-Trussed Concrete Beams (HSTCBs) are used for model validation and result discussion. Finally, also the comparison with a different analytical approach for the assessment of the shear resistanc…

Photokinetic examination of (Z,E,E)-4,4′-distyrylazobenzene

1995

Abstract 4,4′-Distyrylazobenzenes demonstrate a photokinetic equilibrium and a superimposed thermal backward reaction in which the absorption coefficient of one of the partners in the equilibrium is principally unknown. Using the dependence of the photostationary state on the irradiation intensity, the photochemical quantum yields ϕ 1 A and ϕ 2 B were determined, as well as the thermal rate constant k , as a function of the irradiation and observation wavelengths. Experimental difficulties and the wavelength dependence of ϕ 1 A and ϕ 2 B are discussed.

Preparation and crystal structure of the oxalato-bridged CrIII–AgItwo-dimensional compound {Ag3(H2O)[Cr(dpa)(ox)2]3}n·2nH2O (dpa = 2,2′-dipyridylamin…

2004

The reaction of the mononuclear complex [Cr(dpa)(ox)2]− (dpa = 2,2-dipyridylamine) with Ag+ in aqueous solution affords the two-dimensional compound {Ag3(H2O)[Cr(dpa)(ox)2]3}n·2nH2O (1) whose structure has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Six crystallographically independent metal atoms (three chromium and three silver atoms) occur in 1. The three [Cr(dpa)(ox)2]− units in 1 act as ligands towards the silver atoms through the two oxalate groups. Each oxalate group acts as bridging ligand adopting five coordination modes: bis-bidentate, bis-bidentate/monodentate (outer), bis-bidentate/monodentate (inner), bidentate/bis-monodentate (outer) and bidentate/monodentate (outer).…

Passies, sprekend tot en met de verbeelding

2017

Abstract Passions unchained and the power of the imagination. Descartes on vanity, love and joy Most seventeenth-century moralists and philosophers, such as Pascal and Malebranche, commonly describe the passions and the imagination as symptoms of the corruption of human nature. Descartes is not an easy fit in this general framework, especially since most studies of his account of the passions read him rather univocally as committed only to a scientific investigation of certain phenomena that properly belong to the soul but do originate in bodily movements. In this paper, it will be argued that Descartes’ account of the passions is more complex. Namely, by suggesting, on the one hand, that t…
