Kathepsinaktivit�t in Placenten verschiedener Altersstufen

In Placenten verschiedener Altersstufen wurde nach der Methode vonAnson die Kathepsinaktivitat bestimmt. Dabei zeigte sich, das gegenuber der Fruhgraviditat die Aktivitat am Ende der Schwangerschaft deutlich erniedrigt ist. Bemerkenswert ist die Gruppe der echten Schwangerschaftsubertragungen, die die niedrigsten Werte aufwiesen. Die Differenzen zwischen den einzelnen Gruppen sind statistisch signifikant. Die Bedeutung der Fermentaktivitat fur das Wachstum wird diskutiert.

Zur Bestimmung kleiner Zinkmengen in salzsauren Losungen ist die inverse Wechselspannungsvoltammetrie geeignet. Besonderheiten des Einflusses der Elektrolysezeit und kleinerer Kupfergehalte werden beschrieben. Die Standardabweichung der Einzelbestimmung mit 50 ng Zn/ml betrug ± 1,6%.

Validation of a Shear Model for RC and Hybrid Beams with Two Different Inclinations of Transversal Reinforcement

The validation of an analytical model recently proposed for evaluation of the shear capacity in Reinforced Concrete (RC) beams containing multiple inclination of transverse stirrups is presented. The model is a suitable extension of that currently proposed in Eurocode 2 for the evaluation of the shear resistance, and it is derived by means of the the variable-inclination stress-field theory based on Nielsen’s plastic approach. Experimental and numerical data available in the literature on Hybrid Steel-Trussed Concrete Beams (HSTCBs) are used for model validation and result discussion. Photokinetic examination of (Z,E,E)-4,4′-distyrylazobenzene

Abstract 4,4′-Distyrylazobenzenes demonstrate a photokinetic equilibrium and a superimposed thermal backward reaction in which the absorption coefficient of one of the partners in the equilibrium is principally unknown. Using the dependence of the photostationary state on the irradiation intensity, the photochemical quantum yields ϕ 1 A and ϕ 2 B were determined, as well as the thermal rate constant k , as a function of the irradiation and observation wavelengths. Experimental difficulties and the wavelength dependence of ϕ 1 A and ϕ 2 B are discussed.

The reaction of the mononuclear complex [Cr(dpa)(ox)2]− (dpa = 2,2-dipyridylamine) with Ag+ in aqueous solution affords the two-dimensional compound {Ag3(H2O)[Cr(dpa)(ox)2]3}n·2nH2O (1) whose structure has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Six crystallographically independent metal atoms (three chromium and three silver atoms) occur in 1. The three [Cr(dpa)(ox)2]− units in 1 act as ligands towards the silver atoms through the two oxalate groups. Descartes is not an easy fit in this general framework, especially since most studies of his account of the passions read him rather univocally as committed only to a scientific investigation of certain phenomena that properly belong to the soul but do originate in bodily movements.
